Culbokie Primary is a small school built in 1873 on the northern coast of the Black Isle overlooking the Cromarty Firth. Since then it has been extended by the addition of 3 large huts. It serves the growing village of Culbokie and the surrounding farming area bordered by Greenleonachs, Crask, Coulnagour and the A9 trunk road.

In school, children are divided into composite classes, the primary age range P1 –7. Team-teaching is used to facilitate learning, ensuring that all pupils enjoy a broad and balanced learning experience. On completion of P7, children transfer to Fortrose Academy.

Culbokie Primary is an Equal Opportunities School. Access to all subjects will therefore be provided to all pupils. We endeavour to include all children, and provide an education that meets the needs of all pupils.

April 2007

In April 2007 Culbokie Primary will move to a modern Primary School. The new school is a PPP initiative (Public Private Partnership) therefore the new school will be owned by Alpha Schools but will be handed over to Highland Council after 30 years.  The school will be situated across the road from the old school.  The school will comprise of 6 classrooms, gym and dinning hall, community room and a much larger playground for the children to enjoy.
